Philanthropy is for everyone

We often hear from people who want to give but aren’t sure where to start.

Or people have the impression that philanthropy is only for people who can contribute many thousands of dollars, or even millions. But this isn't the case.

Supporting a family with a few hundred dollars to get them through a time of crisis can be life changing.

A big part of MPF’s work on the Mornington Peninsula is using our local knowledge to link donors and community partners.

We spend time understanding what’s needed on the ground. We build long-term relationships with schools and community partners. We ask questions, follow things through, and make sure there’s accountability behind every decision.

Some of the work we’re involved in is large and long-term, the kind that requires significant investment and patience.

But just as often, it’s much smaller.

A direct request comes through from a school or a local partner. Something practical. Something immediate. Because of the relationships in place, we’re able to respond quickly and with confidence.

If contributing to a direct request resonates with you, you can do that through MPF. Get in touch or donate via our website.

All donations over $2 are tax deductable.
