Over the last seven years MPF has grown a strong, committed cohort of donors who have enabled this work to build and flourish. We have great plans for it to continue towards our vision for a system that optimises learning and opportunities for all children, no matter where they live.
And we are seeing that it is working – more children are on track in reading and this is leading to whole school and community change that is changing the narrative of communities formerly marginalised and disempowered.
Over the next 3 – 5 years we will continue to work with pre, primary and secondary schools to build their capacities to give all children a first-class education that sets them up for success in life. We will strengthen primary schools so that within this time most children are transitioning to secondary with the foundations for learning at secondary level. Secondaries will then be able to concentrate on delivering great content that inspires and lifts children and young people to places of wonder and excitement about where their lives are going.
We will continue to support the housing and family support work within communities and to integrate this with the work in schools. We will continue our small grants that build the community capacity through the arts and environmental work. And we will continue to see children and families participate, contribute and flourish.
To do this we need ongoing support. We love speaking to people about how they can be involved, through project specific donations or untied general support, to seed fund new ideas or back in ongoing projects that need that consistent funding.
There are opportunities across education, housing, family support and the arts. We can tailor the engagement to meet your needs, and you can join the ever growing network of funders who are in on the secret of getting more than you give!
And if you are interested in including MPF in your estate planning, please get in touch, there are big conversations to have.
